Figured rosewood & mahogany case with brass inlay. Eagle & paw feet base, carved applied columns, scroll leaf carving applied to sides of case. Figured mahogany pilasters, with rare carved winged griffin crest. Original reverse painted center tablet. Salem Bridge, 8 day time & strike , weight driven, brass movement. Original makers label, Charles Platt, Beacon St., NY.
