| Finely carved walnut case w/serpentine sides & a bracket base in original finish. Original 12" paper dials. 8 day time & perpetual calendar, nickel & brass weight driven movement. Mrs. Strong purchased this clock from the Danforth Estate auction at 136 West Ave, Rochester, NY, in 1962. Only three others of this particular type are known of. One is at the Kansas State University Union Building, one at Ithaca National Bank and one in a private collection. Property from Strong National Museum of Play, sold to benefit the Collections Fund. An outstanding example of a rare clock. |
