Gianni Bettini, late of the Italian cavalry, married an American and ended up in NY City during the mid-90s. He dabbled in high society and invention. He created his "Micro-Phonograph" attachments to improve existing Edison and Columbia machines. He also became legendary for recording the famous performers of the day. After 1901 he decamped to Paris and continued his sonic exploits, creating a line of his own machines that have become among the rarest and most sought-after artifacts of the period. |
