Maya circa 600-900. Mold-impressed design of seated Mayan priest. Buffware, in very good condition. Purchased from Al Stendahl; Carved stone bead from Jalisco, Mexico. circa 250 BC - 250 AD. Carved white steatite circular bead with figure of an iguana deeply carved around exterior. Large central drilled hole. This may be from Colima, same period. Purchased at flea market, Fayetteville, AR, 1982. Ht. 7/8" D 1 3/8". |
