Cataloge Note: Sargent is known to have done portrait drawings of Mrs. Theodore Frothingham, Jr. (born Eleanor Fabyan) sister of Edith (Mrs. William Read), and brother-in-law William Read. Sold: Bonhams, May 2014, lot 25. Literature: David McKibbin, Sargent’s Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 1956, page 118.
