In castle Rheinstein, Germany. The last German Emperor, Wilhelm II, was born as Frederick Wilhelm Albert Victor in Potsdam Jan 27, 1859. He became the German Emperor (Kaiser) and King of Prussia from 15 June 1888 - 9 November 1918. 9 x 5 in. small oil painting of the coronation of King, which includes angel crowning Wilhelm on tower. On black horse, father Wilhelm I, next to him Bismark, the king of Australia, Frans Joseph II, other banners and flags include imperial standard of Prussia. Also, in 3 oval panels, with mother of pearl floral work - Cherubs carrying crown. Painting called Apotheosis of Wilhelm II by Professor Ferdinand Keller - reference "Germany's Iron Chancellor" by Bruno Garlepp. With book "The Memory of the Great Emperor". |
