4½-inch glass dial with satin glass chapter ring, the center revealing the crank wheel escapement and the striking work on the nickeled front plate, bell striking Samuel Marti movement no. 4885 stamped GLT Bté S. G.D.G. Médaille D'Or, in a drum case held aloft by a female figure in classical dress standing on a shaped bronzed and black marble plinth, the torsion pendulum with brass and steel rod, the decorative gilt-brass bob revolving to and fro without apparent impulse from the movement.
