Augusts Goertz was born and raised in an artistic/bohemian household by artist parents, Esther Meyer Goertz and August Goertz, in Greenwich Village, New York City. Augustus Goertz is a process artist, mostly known for his abstract mixed media paintings, often conceived with non-traditional art materials. His works are textural, often seem topographical, landscape or aerial view inspired, or give the impression to reference physical or astronomical phenomena.
