Details:
Henri Hayden was a Polish painter. Eventually moving to Paris, he became acquainted with the artists associated with the Ecole de Paris and later rose to prominence as a Cubist painter. Hayden worked with key artists of the Cubist movement including Juan Gris, Picasso, Lipchitz, and Jean Metzinger. In 1922, he reacted against cubism and returned to the direct study of nature. Influenced by Gauguin and Cezanne, he was primarily a still life and landscape painter.
