 Silas Hoadley Miniature Alarm Timepiece A choice example. Mahogany case in the original finish with original diminutive carved paw feet and pineapple finials. It has tiger maple capitals and birdseye maple grain painted sides. Original stenciled quarter columns and stenciled splat of an eagle and a "Union" banner. Original glass and mirror. This clock was found in central Maine and penciled on the very good label is a note: "Cold today, Jan 15, 1903, 42 below zero". Pre global warming. It has an excellent original painted wood dial with colorful corners. Original hands, pendulum, weights and key. One day timepiece with alarm. |
